Operating a Sea-Doo Switch Boat: A Step-by-Step Guide by Clearwater Beach Boat Rentals
Pre-Departure Check: Before starting the boat, make sure to check all systems and equipment, including the fuel levels, oil levels, and battery. Starting the Engine: To start the engine, plug the key to the key connection located on the dash and press the start button. The engine should start within a few seconds. If the engine fails to start, refer to the owner's manual for troubleshooting tips.
Accelerating and Steering: To accelerate, pull the right throttle handle towards you, your speed will depend on how much you pull the throttle. To steer the boat, use the handlebars to turn the boat in the desired direction. The handlebars control both the speed and direction of the boat. Slowing Down and Stopping: The switch has a braking system to help you slow down. To slow down release the throttle handle and/or pull the left brake handle toward you. Change gears into neutral to stop the boat.

Make sure to have appropriate amount of rope or chain to secure the boat. ALWAYS remember to tie off the end of the rope to the boat as it is not secured in the compartment.
Docking: When approaching a dock, make sure to slow down and be aware of other boats in the area. Use the handlebars to steer the boat towards the dock and make sure to tie the boat securely. Tap the right handle for forward movement and the left to slow down in neutral. Remember that wether going forward or reverse the front of the sea doo switch will turn in the direction you steer the handle bars.
